About

WHY THIS EXISTS

Like a lot of people, I spent years in a cycle I couldn't break. Failed diets. Broken promises. That familiar loop of determination, followed by failure, followed by disappointment.

Then I read Salt Sugar Fat by Michael Moss. And I got angry.

Not at myself — at them. At the companies that spent billions engineering products specifically designed to override my brain's natural signals. At the executives who knew exactly what they were doing and chose profit over public health. At a system that blamed individuals for a problem it had deliberately created.

That anger changed everything. Suddenly, reaching for a bag of crisps didn't feel like satisfying a craving — it felt like surrendering to manipulation. And I didn't want to surrender.

THE RAGE DIET PHILOSOPHY

This site exists to share that psychological shift. It's not a diet plan, not a calorie counter, not a subscription service. It's a different way of thinking about food — specifically, about the engineered products that have hijacked our appetites.

THIS ISN'T ABOUT HATING FOOD

I still enjoy a kebab from the local takeaway. I still have biscuits with my tea. Real food, cooked by real people, eaten with enjoyment — that's not the problem. The problem is products engineered in laboratories to create addiction-like responses in your brain.

The goal isn't to make you afraid of food. It's to help you see the difference between food and engineered products that look like food. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. And that's when the anger becomes useful.

A NOTE ON SOURCES

Every statistic and claim on this site is backed by peer-reviewed research, investigative journalism, or credible academic sources. We don't do conspiracy theories. We do evidence. If you find something that's incorrect or a source that's no longer valid, please let us know.

THE AWKWARD BIT

Heart disease is the number-one killer in the UK — and the US, for that matter. Two of the biggest contributing factors? A rubbish diet and not moving enough. If you're reading this mid-doom-scroll, you're potentially batting two for two.

This site is our attempt to help with the diet side. But there's something else worth mentioning — and it's not a sales pitch, it's just something I can't not say.

I work in first aid training. It's the day job. Which means I spend a lot of time around people dealing with the sharp end of heart disease — cardiac arrests, CPR, defibrillators. After a while, you stop seeing statistics and start seeing people. And it changes what you think is important.

So here's my one ask: learn CPR, or better yet, get someone close to you to learn it. Because if the worst happens, you won't be the one doing chest compressions — the person next to you will. And right now, they probably don't know how.

First Aid For All is where I am. But honestly, anywhere accredited will do (for work qualifications) and anyone who knows what they are doing is perfectly fine for learning what to do. You don't need a qualification to save a life! Just make sure someone in your life knows what to do.
